Personality

I am super playful.  I came home the first night and played with Bella (the younger dog) for 4 hours.  It was so nice to have another dog to play with.  I love to jump and run although sometimes I hop more, my legs are short.  The family has a pretty big yard but it is not fenced.  However, I stay with them because I get a little scared if I am too far away from them or Bella.

I want to be dominant.  I like being the Top Dog.  I may be better in a one dog home but Mommy and Daddy are determined to have me socialized to play nice with other dogs.  I am still a puppy so I nip (mouth) A LOT!!!!  I only bit (nipped) the Boy (Monkey 7 years old) once and it scared me because he cried.  Mommy and Daddy came running down and solved the situation.  The Boy still likes me and is not afraid of me.  They are understanding people that I am still learning.

I am really smart.  Mommy even says so.  I know to sit if you have a treat in your hand.  The word no or no bite is still a little hard to understand.  But people talk funny I don't understand the words that come out of their mouth sometimes.  I learned my name in the first night.  I just don't always come when you call.

Housebreaking, I haven't quite caught on to this yet.  I have to tinkle a lot.  Mommy and Daddy do a good job at taking me out frequently to try and help and give me treats. They believe in kennel training so I do go into a kennel at night.  I whine and bark for no more then 5 minutes but they are really good at this and I eventually just lay down and go to sleep.

I AM A DADDY'S GIRL!!!!!!!!  I cry when Daddy leaves me (us).  Although, Mommy is the one I will listen too when she tells me and Bella enough.

UPDATE: 5/12/2013
So I am still really playful.  I am all puppy.  I love to play.  I will play with Bella for 2 hours straight.  She kind of gets annoyed and wants to stop but I love to play I just can't help myself.

I am still really timid with new people.  I just am unsure of people still.  They scare me.  But give me a couple of hours and I will be licking your face and trying to get you to play with me.  Although, if you get on the floor to play with me I am all over you.

I have gotten the sit thing, still working on stay but I am almost there.  Daddy taught me to sit and wait to be called for dinner.  It is nice to know I don't have to scarf my food down.  I definitely know my name.  Mommy has taught me when she holds her fist up and says "No Bite" I need to stop biting don't worry I am not afraid she is going to hit I think it is just a sign for her that I should not bite, and I can't get my tiny mouth around her fist.  She also has taught both Bella and I that when she puts her hands out flat and says"Enough" we have to stop fighting.

I have dropped the being dominant thing.  Who cares as long as someone is playing with me.  If I roll on my back anyway someone will always rub my belly.  I am loving the belly rubs.  

I LOVE TO CUDDLE!!!!!!!  After playing for 2 hours I love to lay down and cuddle.  So much in fact I forget to drink some water to cool down.  Mommy has actually had to walk me in to the water bowl for me to drink.  Otherwise I breath really have because I am so hot from playing.  But laying on the couch with Bella and Mommy WOW I could do it all day.  I feel the love.  

And of course STILL A DADDY'S GIRL!!!!!!  I love Daddy.
